JIM LINDSEY    1932 FORD PANEL

Jim has always liked 32 Fords, especially commercial vehicles. His collection includes a Double B Stake Bed Truck. Another special hot rod to Jim is a 1932 Ford 5-Window that he bought when he was 17 years old, and still has. Sometimes it’s funny how things come together. Jim lives in Santa Barbara, an area known for great surfing. The panel he purchased must have been in the hands of a surfer for awhile, judging from the drawings on the inside and outside of the truck. Jim also belongs to the National Woodie Club, woodies being a part of the surfing heritage, and he hopes to add one to his stable some day. Another passion of Jim’s is sports car racing. His son, Patrick, is the driver of the number 73 Porsche in the GT3 class of the Rolex Grand Am Racing Series. This year at the 24 hours of Daytona, the team did quite well. They finished 16th, because of a nighttime off –course excursion. Despite being a number of laps down, they were turning lap times as quick as the race winners after the repairs were made. Look for the number 73 on Speed Channel and check back often to see how the Panel is progressing. .
